All playoff matches begin with cutting the cards. Low card wins the first deal; high card is the first pone.

It has been proposed that the right of first deal in playoff matches should belong to the higher seed. That is, in every match, the person who scored higher in the qualifying round deals the first game. (After this, current rules would apply, with the loser of the previous game dealing the next game.)

This format matches what happens in other sports, where the player or team with the best record in the regular season gets home-field advantage throughout the playoffs (think Indianapolis Colts). What do you think?
