Bob Madsen began as a charter member of the American Cribbage Congress in 1980 and was elected to the Board of Directors in 1981. He served as an active Board Member until 1991. In September of 1983 he took over the position of Secretary-Treasurer which included publication of Cribbage World, membership maintenance and tournament scheduling. He was editor until February 1986 and resigned the position in January 1987.
He directed the Illinois State Tournament from 1981 to 1990, the 3rd Grand National in Chicago in 1984, co-directed the Tournament of Champions and the ACC Open in 1985-86-87. In 1982 Bob was certified as a tournament Judge.
Awards include election to Mr. and Mrs. (Elda) Cribbage World, 1985; the All-American Cribbage Team, 1986; and Cribbage Master, 1988.
Bob was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1987.
