Phyllis is a charter member of the American Cribbage Congress, which was started in Raleigh N.C. in 1979. She was on the first Board of Directors. In 1982 she received the President's Award for outstanding service to the Congress.
Phyllis earned her Master Rating in 1990 and in 1992 she was crowned as National Champion earning 1,442 Master Rating Points. She earned her Life Master in 1994, and in 1998 became the 10th member of the Congress to earn Life Master One Star.
Phyllis is presently the highest rated woman player in the Congress and is 6th overall. She stands fourth in number of tournaments won with 19. She has earned five All-American Team Honors.
Phyllis has been a great asset to the Congress over the years, having served as a Senior Judge and a member of the Board of Director’s. She is also the director of two tournaments annually.
Phyllis was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2002.
