Jerry was inducted into the ACC Hall of Fame by a special vote of the Board of Directors in September 2020.
Gerald Leonard Gruber was born on August 7, 1944 and grew up in Padua, MN. He always had a smile and kind words to say. The cribbage community came up with the term "Gruberized" to describe matches that Jerry appeared to be losing and then suddenly took the lead and won. He was always a great sportsman and helped out by running side pools, judging, cross checking, or whatever was needed.
In his cribbage career, Jerry rose to Life Master - 3 Stars, with 22,213 MRPs. He won 32 sanctioned tournaments and in Grassroots, achieved 5,068 GRPs.
